The economic crisis in US is a big opportunity for smart people. They tax lien houses and later become legal owners.
June 24 Our CharacterThe recent hot discussions and the coverage
the two incidents got through the media, makes me sit back and scratch
my grey cells. No guesses for the right answers.Yes,I am talking about
Shiny's rape case and the IAS officer from Bhopal caught with pants off
on the camera.Honestly, I am feeling ashamed of the two avoidable
incidents which cannot contribute in any meaningful way. This just
depicts the deteriorating standards of our moral values.I hung my head
in shame even if there is little truth in them.
This calls for serious introspection of ourselves. We are no better than animals.Even they would be ashamed of what we the so called civilized society is up to? Atleast,I have not seen any male animal running after another male.Even, a successful so called hero is never expected to rape his maid who earns her livelihood by working for him. These are the two most disturbing factors that isolates one from the civic society.Look at the so called offenders-One a successful hero who portrays all good things on screen and other belonging to elite IAS Service cadre,in the Public Service. Both have served in their own ways. In order to protect our society from such acts,we need to stress more importance on moral policing. It is the feeling and belief that has to be a part of every human being's personality. He or she needs to adhere strictly to it.The Govt.of the day can just order a fast track settlement or suspend the concerned official. It is the Public in general and the Parents and teachers in particular who have to inculcate the moral values in the future generations. Lastly,I fully endorse the view that media should be applauded for highlighting the social evils.Like in this case. They are the real pillars of democracy,in addition to the Parliament,Executive and Judiciary. If they don't highlight such incidents,we would be still living in the fool's paradise believing that everything is fine in our house.Let's applaud the good and suppress the evil. That is the only way we can fulfill our dreams of a civilized society.Let the Shiny's and Bhopal IAS official realize that we don't support them or their activities. My congratulations to the maid and the Punchayat secretary for exposing the evil deeds of their masters.Let the two get together and make a formidable couple. Bakshinder bakshinder@hotmail.com March 04 Terrorist Attack on Srilankan Cricketers in Pakistan The dastardly and gruesome attack on
Srilankan cricketers in the Lahore city, in Pakistan, has saddened
everyone. This is something one would never have imagined.I personally
feel sorry for the cricketers and their families, who must have been
through a nightmare. The terror attack of this magnitude and it's
fool proof planning and execution has left many questions to be
answered. Just imagine what would have happened if the terrorists had
succeeded in holding the cricketers as hostages ! Thankfully, they all
are safe apart from the bullet injuries they got.The physical injuries
may heal with the passage of time but the mental agony would last with
them till their lives.
The attack has exposed the vulnerability of terror strikes to the sporting personalities and the diplomatic dignitaries visiting Pakistan.I am afraid people will start having second thoughts of visiting this terror state.I wish to mention here that all people in Pakistan are not terrorists.Painting entire Pakistan as terrorists would be wrong. It is just a group of misguided youth who have chosen this way.The fault lies with the Govt of Pakistan, in not taming them in time. The subsequent powers individual agenda's prevented them in acting timely.Had they done so this would never have happened and they would have done justice to the international community in general and the people of Pakistan in particular.I wish they wake up now and act and act fast.It is better late than never. My heart goes out to the people and the Govt of Srilanka. The poor souls had to suffer due to no fault of theirs. They had gone to fill the void created after cancellation of the Indian cricket tour.In a way, they had obliged Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the people of Pakistan by visiting and agreeing to play some games. It's a well known fact that PCB due to isolation had empty coffers. The Australian,Newzealand,Indian,England, West Indies had canceled their tours citing security reasons. It is the right of the individual cricket boards to ensure the safety and security of their players. They cannot be forced by the ICC, the international cricketing governing body, to tour terror affected states like Pakistan. The Pakistani Govt. headed by Mr Zardari and Mr Gilani, too should accept the blame for exposing the visitors to terror strikes. They failed in providing fool proof security to the visitors. The requisite steps that were required to be taken for their safety such as providing bullet proof bus, adequate security deployment along the route and maintaining the secrecy to the bus route from hotel to the Gaddafi Stadium,Lahore etc etc were not taken. How could the terrorists with such magnitude of arsenal with them came to know about their route ,without being caught ? How could the terrorists run off without anyone being hit or killed? These are some of the questions that would stare at their face for a long time to come.Wake up buddies and give peace and prosperity a chance. I would like to conclude by condemning this cowardly act of terror,by offering my good wishes for the speedy recovery of all the Srilankan players, thanking the almighty for the miraculous escape of the players for whom its like a second birth, sharing the sorrow and concern of the people of Srilanka.Let the Pakistani Govt act and act fast.Bring the perpetrators to justice.Despite myself being an Indian,I would like to emphasize that branding normal Pakistanis, who are peace loving people, as terrorists would be wrong.Let everyone aim at the terrorists and terrorists alone.Let's ensure that we all want peace, prosperity. We want to promote universal brotherhood.I don't see any reason why it can't be done.Give it a try. bakshinder e-mail-bakshinder@hotmail.com Blogs to be followed Business Blog Make Money online February 20 The Second IPL Cricket Season The cricket fever has engulfed the
cricketing world again. The last season being huge success, has attracted
more cricketers around the world. The ones who missed it waited
anxiously for this one.Although, the tournament has been affected by the
Pakistani players absence yet it would carry on with the same vigour
and zeal. The BCCI has more than one reason to rejoice.Be it a show of
their economic clout or their ability to conduct sporting events of
this magnitude.I am sure their effort has been acknowledged by the ICC,
the premium world body governing the cricketing nations. The IPL owes it success to various reasons. It has proved to be a big platform for everyone concerned.Be they organisers, advertisers, the established crickets or the budding players.Everyone who performs gets instant recognition, the world over. The most beneficial team has been the TEAM INDIA. Ever since they got into it, the performance of the Indian team in all formats of the game has been excellent.Whether it was 50 over games,20-20 or the tests. They are threatening the World Champions. The big advantage has been their ability to play along with the best players in the world and gain from their experience.English player Andrew Flintoff said that everyone is talking about the money in IPL but no one knows what the Indian cricketers got out of it.They owe their performs to the IPL. The experience they got is reflecting in their performance today.I agree with Flintoff. The players who could never have dreamt of playing with the likes of Ponting,Hayden,Sachin,Shane Warne,Jayasuriya,Chris Gayale,Macgrath etc were found sharing matches with them. They must have learnt great lessons in a short time. The mere presence of such stalwarts must have been a life time opportunity for them.Mere performance in the tournament brought out players like Marsh and Yousuf Pathan. They today have their own standings in their respective teams. The peformance in this tournament gave them recognition and the instant money like the instant 20-20 tournament. The second IPL has recognised the worth of Kevin Pieterson and Andrew Flintoff who have been contracted with huge sums of money. The amount of IRS 6.5 Crores offered to them was never heard of.They have surpassed the golden boy of Indian Cricket MS Dhoni who when offered IRS 6 Crores raised many eyebrows. However, I am happy for the sporting personalities who have every reason to get what they deserve. It should be borne in mind that they play for short times of around 15 years on an average. They have to be physically and mentally fit to last for that time. So, let them make hay while the sun shines. However,I do agree with the British media that the IPL has not been affected by the global economic crisis. That's why they could offer huge sums to players. It's a compliment to Indian economy. Advertisers dole out huge sums of money for the services their brand get.The brand gets noticed in major parts of the world through electronic and print media. They are businessmen and they know why they are paying through their nose.I don't think they can get this kind of coverage. The crowd and the millions of viewers get the kind of entertainment they dream of.They get their money's worth through competitive matches fought with the sole idea of winning. The shorter versions of the game gives a package which has everything for everyone. The crowd get their entertainment, the advertisers hit the targeted traffic, the cricketers get experience and that too with big money. Therefore, it's a Win Win situation for everyone. The cricketing head that initiated this dream project needs to be complimented for achieving what he dreamt of.No business is successful unless it has something for everyone.I am sure this tournament has it all.The second IPL season is being eagerly awaited and lets keep out fingers crossed for big entertaining, competitively fought matches. The glitz and the glamour is expected to shine more brightly than the first season.Although we shall be missing Pakistani cricketers participation yet this game has to move on.Let's pray for its huge success. bakshinder email-bakshinder@hotmail.com Blogs 1-Business writings 2-Creative Writings 3-Money Making Plans February 06 Are your following this ?At times we tend to believe that we are very wise.Check it out if you know these simple thoughts to mitigate your financial sufferings. *Hard work: All hard work bring a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. * Laziness: A sleeping lobster is carried away by the water current. * Earnings: Never depend on a single source of income. [At least make your Investments get you second earning] * Spending: If you buy things you don't need, you'll soon sell things you need. * Savings: Don't save what is left after spending; Spend what is left after saving. * Borrowings: The borrower becomes the lender's slave. * Accounting: It's no use carrying an umbrella, if your shoes are leaking. * Auditing: Beware of little expenses; A small leak can sink a large ship. * Risk-taking: Never test the depth of the river with both feet. [ Have an alternate plan ready ] * Investment: Don't put all your eggs in one basket. I'm certain that those who have already been practising these principles remain financially healthy. I'm equally confident that those who resolve to start practising these principles will quickly regain their financial health.
